The Visitor Fee must be paid in cash and will apply to ANY vehicle in the Rocky Point Rec Site (excluding paid overnight campers). A limited number of visitors will be permitted in the campground, o nce our max occupancy is reached.

Rocky Point Campground is part of the Alder Lake Park Campground system, and it is located approximately 4 miles east of the park entrance on Highway 7 and on the southern branch of the reservoir. This end of the reservoir naturally doesn't get all of the attention that the north end draws, and it also may also be a calmer spot in terms of prevailing winds.

Rocky Point Campground is situated along the west shore of 28,000-acre Lake Almanor. The lake and the campground are operated by the Pacific Gas and Electric Corporation. Visitors to Lake Almanor enjoy boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Lassen Volcanic National Park is close enough for a day trip.
